Spiritual Activities & Celebrations

The ultimate goal of human life is to realise the self and truth. Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari came to this world to show the mankind the light of truth and help realising the same. Whoever surrenders to His Lotus Feet will enjoy the divine love and grace. BMM conducts the following spiritual activities:

  • Morning & Evening Aratis & Prayers
  • Morning, moon and evening Pujas
  • Weekly spiritual discourse/reading from Scriptures
  • Monthly Satsang & Bhajan

The Sangha also encourages and provide necessary guidance to the numerous Biswasuk centres run by the devotees of Sri Sri Thakur of a particular area to organise weekly Suksabha - Spiritual discourse with arati, reading and discussion from scriptures and Thakur’s message, bhajans, naam sankeerttan and distribution of offerings to Thakur (prasada) at the end. This helps the devotees at far off places to maintain the regularity in their spiritual practice and increase the bond among the brother disciples to lead a peaceful and harmonious life by sharing and assisting in each other’s sorrow and joy.

Celebrations

Biswasuk Milan Math (BMM) Celebrates the following three events with the usual gaiety and fervour of a spiritual festival. The devotees of Sri Sri Thakur and other people from all over India, Bangladesh and other places join together in countless number irrespective of caste creed, wise, illiterate, rich or poor under His Lotus Feet. In the divine presence of Sri Sri Thakur all the participants of the celebration enjoy their time in discussing Thakur's Leela, bhajans, naam sankeerttan, special puja, narayan seva, nagar parikrama (walking through the city streets singing devotional songs) in the blissful atmosphere of love, equality and brotherhood. An extra attraction for all is the village mela, which has been developed automatically over the years with the celebration and fits in with the celebration quite nicely with its usual charm and carefree atmosphere.

  • Birthday Celebration of Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari during Deepavali at its Ichhapur Ashram
  • Celebration of Holi Festival (Dol Utsav) commemorating the Rasleela of Lord Srikrishna at the onset of spring seasons at Bikihat Ashram
  • Celebration of Rathajatra during Monsoon season at the Dakshin Bengai (Midnapur) Ashram
