About the Organization
Biswasuk Milan Math (BMM) and Biswasuk Sevasram Sangha (BSS) were established by Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari for the welfare of mankind through spiritual enlightenment and service to humanity. Thakur said that “Charity is but religion, Sacrifice is but religion and the Selfless Service is the essence of all religions.”
The Sangha is based on the principle of Selfless Dedication and Service to the mankind irrespective of caste, creed and community. The objective of the Sangha is to generate Equality, Universal Brotherhood and Peace throughout the universe by helping the man to realise the self and oneness in all.
Genesis of Biswasuk Sevrasram
Worldly people bonded by illusion are always afflicted due to selfishness, greed, lust, jealousy, violence and death. Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari drew the parallel of these souls with the suffocated fishes in a pond completely covered with hyacinth. Due to lack of oxygen the watery creatures of this pond cannot breathe properly and struggle for life. But if some clearing is made on the surface of water then all these creatures can frequent to this clearing to breathe oxygen and enjoy the life.
Sri Sri Thakur wanted to create some spiritual opening on the surface of society to which the worldly people can frequent to come in contact with the divine love, grace & wisdom and breath a sigh of relief from the daily mundane and afflictions of worldly life. At the same time devoted souls without any yearning for domestic life would be able to follow the path of austerity and renunciation for leading a high spiritual life and salvation.
Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari was extremely moved by the pathetic reality of the common mass in the society afflicted with extreme poverty, hunger, misery, disease, grief and despondency. Illiteracy, superstitions and harmful teaching were pushing the society to a darker state. Differences and exploitations among castes, creed, rich and poor were spreading the poison of hatred and violence destroying the fabric of peace and placing the society in great turmoil and tension.
Sri Sri Thakur felt an urgent need for the uplift of the common man from its precarious condition and improvement of the general atmosphere. To him this was only possible through selfless dedication and service to the distressed and needy irrespective of caste creed and community and by practicing the principle of equality, brotherhood and peace. He wanted to create a base where dedicated souls filled with renunciation can be groomed to take up this great task and where everybody can enjoy the taste of equality, universal brotherhood and peace and then spread the same all around the universe.
Biswasuk Milan Math (BMM) and Biswasuk Sevasram Sangha (BSS) are the outcome of the above-mentioned contemplations of Sri Sri Thakur Sukdev Brahmachari. Therefore, the Sangha is the shelter for homeless, sanatorium for sick, place of learning for uneducated, abode of God for the devotees, Sadhanbhumi (place for practicing asceticism and renunciation) for the seeker of truth and place of universal brotherhood, amity and peace for the whole humanity.
Biswasuk Milan Math (BMM) & Biswasuk Sevasram Sangha (BSS) are registered under act XXVI, the donation to this organisation is liable to exemption of Indian Income Tax Act under 80G.
